Reynier Llanes – Cuban Built-in 1985 – is a professionally educated and an internationally recognized creative person from Pinar del Rio Cuba, and is at present a naturalized American Citizen painting from his studio in Miami, Florida.  Upon his arrival in the United states of america he was awarded a four-year scholarship including salary and a residency to work with Jonathan Greenish Studios in enhancing his painting skills in materials and technics along with mastering direction systems to represent artists from Republic of cuba from his own studio.  This masterful landscape and portrait artist uses the mediums of oil and unique uses of Cuban espresso coffee on canvas and archival paper to capture the essence of cantankerous-cultural environments, people, traditions, and belief systems.

William Southward. Carter -   Amercian (1909-1996)

William Southward. Carter (1909-1996) was a nationally recognized and awarded artist, who lived on Chicago's southside for well-nigh of his life. Carter was a master of all painting mediums and contributed extensively to the African-American art culture of Chicago.

William Sylvester Carter was born in St. Louis, MO in 1909. In 1930, he moved to Chicago and began studying art at the School of the Art Institute and at the University of Illinois. He showed his works nationally throughout the 1940s - in 1940, at Howard University Gallery of Art with Charles White, and in 1942 at the Start Annual Exhibition of Paintings, Sculptures and Prints by Negro Artists at Atlanta Academy. By 1943, he had joined the WPA in Illinois with Charles White, Eldzier Cortor, Earl Walker and Charles Davis. Carter's works are found in the collections of the Fine art Institute of Chicago, the DuSable Museum of African American History and the South Side Community Art Center, all in Chicago.

Irene Clark
American, 1927-1984
Irene Clark pursued her artistic vision throughout her life, studying at the 414 Workshop in Chicago, the San Francisco Art Constitute, and in Haiti.  She was a gallery manager at the Exhibit Gallery and Studio in Chicago, and a member of the African-American Historical and Cultural Gild.  Much of Clark's piece of work is in the permanent collections of the Oakland Museum of Art and Atlanta University.  She is unique in the history of African-American fine art.
